Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) - J.J. Abrams

A fantastic film. I'm not a trekkie, but when Sylar and Sherlock (Zachary Quinto and Benedict Cumberbatch) are in one film together, the inner geek is crying to get out. I loved them both, and they truly made the film. That's not to say that Chris Pine doesn't still shine (rhymes are fun), as Captain Kirk, because he does too. This film is everything I anticipated and so much more. Finally, a film that lives up to the hype, and a worthy sequel to Star Trek (2009) - J. J. Abrams. It's nice to see Simon Pegg get a bit more limelight in this one as well.
